Mr. Pankaj Saran is trained as a Cognitive scientist from the University of Delhi and has, thereafter, pursued project credentials from leading Universities/Institutions in US and Japan. He is the Vice President (Strategic Initiative) of EMPI Group of Institution and also the director & Co-founder of Vittal Innovation city, Andhra Pradesh.
He worked closely with top executives of Boston Consulting Group and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in defining metrics for innovative organizations in India. He Cconceived and set up EMPI Group of Institutions, with legends from Government, Industry and Academia, currently overseeing the activities as Vice-President, Strategic Initiatives. He set up ‘The European Union India International Business Management Centre’ - The first of its kind effort in India, fully supported by the EU. He was the Head of Research for the European Union funded EU-India International Management Centre and was part of the Principal Co-investigating Team of GLOBE (Global Leadership and Organizational Behaviour Effectiveness) Project of the Wharton School’s Global Leadership Foundation.
In 2005, he initiated the annual Indian Innovation Awards under the ‘Mission Innovative India’ with the blessings of the then President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
